Who we are
This website is operated by GROUNDWRKS, a carpentry, handyman and painting and decorating business in the United Kingdom. You can contact us about this policy by phone or WhatsApp on +44 7939 080499.
Information we collect
When you request a quote or contact us, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, phone number, email address, property postcode, the service you are interested in, a description of the work, your preferred contact method and any photographs you attach.
If you message us on WhatsApp or call us, we receive the information you share through those services.
How we use it
We use this information only to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange and carry out work you ask us to do, and keep appropriate records of that work. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Spam protection
Our enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to protect against automated abuse. reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information and sends it to Google for analysis. Its use is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Service providers
This website is hosted by Vercel. Enquiries submitted through the form are delivered to us using an email delivery provider. These providers process data on our behalf to run the website and deliver your message.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and, where you become a customer, for as long as required for our business and legal records.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, object to or restrict its use, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, contact us using the number above.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Google reCAPTCHA, which loads on every page to protect the enquiry form, may set cookies needed for it to work.
